Looking for a new farming sim to check out on PC? Shinehill releases into 1.0 on March 6, 2026 after a year and a half of Early Access. Created by a husband and wife team (Peach Bite), this game not only has a lot of love behind it, but surprisingly very positive reviews on Steam.
This hidden gem brings your classic farming sim gameplay, but adds so much more. Take this excerpt from their Steam page for example:
“Being a spy on an unfamiliar planet, anyone would have been greeted with hostility, but you were incredibly lucky! Trusting locals mistook you for a new neighbor and provided you with a house and a plot of land to live on.”
Farming? Check. Aliens? Check. Romance and Marriage? You know it.
It is a more simple and short game which for some is perfect, but just know it won’t have hours and hours of replayability like other popular farming sims such as Stardew Valley. You are likely looking at about 10-15 hours of gameplay for a playthrough.
The team is dedicating to improving and supporting their game after its full release though so hopefully that will come with more play time.
With quests, fishing, foraging, minigames, cutscenes, and some combat, I think you will find this to be a refreshing game to add to your library.
