Fans of the cozy game Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley have been eagerly awaiting the release of Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth. While we don’t have an official release date yet, it looks like big news is coming from the development team, Hyper Games, on February 19th at Indie Fan Fest.
Not sure what Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth is about? Play as Moomintroll who wakes from hibernation alone and embarks on a journey to find warmth, make new friends, and help others along the way in a beautiful, hand-painted, 2D world.
It is a single-player, puzzle-solving adventure with quests and exploration. If you have played Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley you will notice a familiar feel to the gameplay.
Hopes are high for Indie Fan Fest that they will give a more specific release date to follow the previous 2026 release window.

In addition to the upcoming announcement, the team also shared that you will be able to try a new demo of the game on the same day, February 19th, 2026. The demo will release just in time for Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth participation in this season’s Steam Next Fest starting February 23rd.
Demos for Steam Next Fest are usually temporarily available so make sure to not delay trying out the game. You won’t want to miss this one!
